Gary Bones, Gary began working in digital forensics as a Detective for a local police department in the DFW metroplex. He served for more than 21 years in law enforcement. He was a member of the North Texas ICAC Task Force and became a Certified Forensic Computer Examiner, Certified Digital Forensics Examiner, and Certified Cyber Crimes Examiner.

As a former member and team leader of a regional SWAT team, Gary strives to make teamwork an essential part and focus of his work ethic. He remains committed to detailed report writing and organization, understanding current trends, and searching for hidden answers that are often found in digital artifacts.

Upon retiring from his law enforcement career, Gary joined Veracity as Forensic Analyst. In this role he oversees in-lab logistics, manages evidence and performs forensic acquisitions and analysis of various devices and accounts. His prior law enforcement training help instill in him a high regard for evidence integrity and how a thorough investigation leads to the truth.

During his time off, Gary enjoys shuffling his two children around, who are heavily involved in athletics. He is a collector of morale patches and challenge coins and is a proud dog dad to his border collie/black lab mix “Domino.”
